I started fishing at a very young age with my dad, and we loved to chase trout. As I got older the fascination of trout fishing just grew stronger, and the progression to fly fishing only seemed natural. Once I learned the basics of fly fishing the addiction took over. And I do not use the word addiction lightly, fly fishing has become my passion. I am very blessed to do what I love for a living, I have been guiding full time for awhile now and I grow to love it more each season. There is nothing better then sharing this great sport with beginners. On the flip side it is awesome to get out with seasoned anglers and hit the stream with intensity. This thing called fly fishing can really get in your blood, and once you get the itch it's hard to get enough. As for what we do, I can sum it up like this... If it lives in the water and will eat a fly we will try to catch it! Just like every other guide in the world, when I'm not working I'm trying to stick a fish in the face with a fly...

During the summer prior to attending college, I decided to give a fly rod a chance. I have never looked back. Being a full-time teacher, I got my start at the Nemacolin Field Club as an instructor at the Orvis fly Fishing School. I have enjoyed working with many novice people in the sport and sharing my passion for it as well.
I mainly guide the wade trips on the Yough, Meadow Run, Laurel Hill, Savage River, Cassellman, and the North Branch of the Potomac. When I'm not working, you can usually find me on the river or with my English Setter, Zoie.
