That time again...

This past week was great to be on the water. I had a gentleman for a full week of fishing and it really could not have been better. We started the week with the water on the higher side and ended with perfect conditions. Each day we tried to fish different water so we ranged from a somewhat large stream down to a Native Brook trout stream that was no more then 20 feet across. The surface fishing on the larger streams is still slow, we are seeing some black stone flies and a very few smallish mayflies. So most fish that we netted this week were by using standard nymphing techniques. Now the Brook trout stream is another story we were able to manage fish all day on dries. The best two patterns being a parachute adams and a royal stimulator both in size # 14-16. In the end it was a awesome week to be on the water, and sorry no pics I was awful and forgot the camera every day...
