First trip out...

Finally got a break in the weather and had a chance to get on the water, the stream had good flow but still very cold. We started fishing shortly after 10:30am and it did not take very long to get into a few fish. The fish that we landed were not very aggressive and did not strike hard at all. The flies that seemed to produce the best were Hares Ears sizes # 16-18 and natural Copper Johns size # 16. In addition to some sun and decent fishing there was a stone fly hatch occurring. They ranged in size from a #14 - 20 we were able to get a few photos and they will be posted above. Last but not least I was able to land a large native only to Fayette County PA golden rainbow trout. This would have never happened if my outstanding guide did not spot this fish and give me the chance while he was changing flies...LOL! Feels great to get back on the water and get a few fish to the net....
